Construction (May 22, 2002)

The following photos show the framework in progress, the outer skin being applied, and the attachment of the wings which will be bi-fold for easy transport. The framing is constructed of 40-tube steel and the exterior skin is 24-gauge steel sheeting. The engine is a 6-horse gas power electric start, pedal steering, and joystick braking system . The wings are hinged bi-folds for easy loading and storage The finish body work, paint job, detailing, and upholstery was completed by BrenDesigns.

Prattworks Inc. was commissioned by Ret. Col. Frank Peck outside of Austin, Texas to construct a model of the F-105 Thunderchief Fighter Jet which he flew in Vietnam. The framing is constructed of 40-tube steel and the exterior skin is 24-gauge steel sheeting. The engine is a 6-horse power electric start, pedal steering, and joystick braking system (the joystick is an original joystick from a THUD jet). The finish body work, paint job, detailing, and upholstery was completed by BrenDesigns. |
