smoke oil concentrates

i have a question for you guys who use white smoke oil.

i know people have tryed using color smoke oil concentrates and many have had no luck.

we manufacture color smoke for sky diving and now produce color smoke concentrates for piston engines.

the problem with concentrates is the dyes. the dyes are not very tolerant to much of any thing if the formula is not mixed correctly. basicly the correct formula is never listed on the net,but even if you get lucky enough to get the correct formula the mix has to be blended down to the gram or it will not work.

the other problem with concentrates is they wont work with the same white smoke oil injector most people use. the injector is to big.

my question is this.

if we can produce a injector that will allow the concentrates to work in piston engines do you think there would be a market.

i know a lot of people think these concentrates only work in jet engines.

well that is not true.

these dyes work at temps of around 400C now your exhaust header produces a lot more heat than that so that rules out the heat problem real fast.

it leaves only two possable problems,one is the delivery system. the injector size is every thing.

the second problem is the formula.

these dyes are no different than pyrotechnic dyes,they do the same thing.

these dyes have to be blended right to the gram this includes the reducers and the carring agents. if one compound is off by as much as a ounce the whole batch is junk.

with piston engines the tollerence is even closer.

any way i just wanted to gey your thoughts.

and yes if staining may or may not be a problem.

the good news is if the correct injector is used and the correct mix is followed the clean up problems will be very small.

I live in central florida and the two closest Aviation Maintenance schools are Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) and National Aviation Academy.

Does anyone have any experience with either?

What should I look for in a maint school?

Is an A&P license recognized outside the US?

How competitive is the maintenance job market?

What should I realistically expect to make just starting out after school?

Should I just go for the A&P or should I tack on Avionics if availible?

Any help you gentelment could give would be greatly appreciated.

Your counters are very inaccurate, at least they are in the Personal Pages section. This started a couple of weeks ago and has gotten worse in the last week. I noticed it's affecting every site equally.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The rules are clear and one must agree to them before listing their site on Aviation Top 100.

The description of the site and the site itself has to be in the english language. A link to a translation site is not good enough.

In the Personal Web Pages section 3 of the top 5 sites are not in English nor are the Personal Sites. Any chance these sites could be removed from Top 100?

GPS Holding Pattern

Up to this point I have not done GPS approaches. Now I am doing GPS approaches and the holding patterns associated with them. I've noticed they have distance specified on the holding pattern (example 6NM) shown in the Plan view and 6NM Holding Pattern written in the Profile view as well. I'm used to doing one minute holding patterns, unless told to do otherwise. Is the distance given (from the holding fix) a remain within (i.e. remain within 6 NM) or an instruction to begin your turn inbound at 6NM?

"AIM para. 5-3-7(j)(5) describes use of DME or GPS Along-Track Distance (ATD) in lieu of time values that are necessary to ensure holding pattern airspace protection. When distance is used in lieu of time on a holding pattern, the distance value specified on the procedure chart or provided by ATC is applicable to the outbound leg of the holding pattern. When GPS is used for holding with a distance specified, the holding fix will be a waypoint in the database and the end of the outbound leg will be determined by the ATD."

i am a senior in high school, im 17 years old, i am 5'2 (still growing) and weigh 100 pounds, 20 20 vision, great hearing

i plan on going into fight scinence at Western Michigan University for four years the joing the military.

i have a over all GPA of a 2.56 out of my first 3 years of school (fresh, sophmore, junior)

i have had the passion of flight since i was as young as i can remeber

with my grades and my physical conditions

cann i make it to become a fighter pilot in any branch of the military?

I've had my mishap page on avitop for years and love it. I have recently started an aviation blog using Blogger and added it to avitop.

Here's the rub. I had to modify the code (gasp, yeah I know) so that the Avitop logo appears. There doesn't seem to be a way to add the banner to the Blogger root directory.

Do you have a method to deal with Blogger?

Can I get dispensation on the mod, because all I want to do is submit blof to avitop?

future airforce pilot restrictions

I was considering becoming an airforce pilot and I was wondering if they have exceptions for the restrictions. Not height or weight, my problem is that I have a restricting medical condition, asthma. But it has never bothered me, i have only had one attack and i never have to use my medacine also it never is a problem for me when i'm exersizing, the only time when it is, is when i'm very sick. Would I ever have a chance of becoming a pilot? Thanks for your help .

Im a 15 year old freshman and when I get out of highshcool i hope to go to the United States Naval Academy(or airforce). I know quite a bit about wars and have been really interested in current events on the military side ever since I was a little kid and today it seems like the economy and war is all we are concerned with. I am sort of confused with the resonings of why people protest the war when it shows that in history usually when you wait to attack, the enemy has time to make supprises, and many other things that can get in the way of what we are there to do. I think people need to realize that it is neccisary to go to war with Iraq as soon as possible to ensure that our national security is safe. Please help me start a little bit of a discussion about this because it is a major issue right now and I think that it effects everyone in the United States and especially if any of you are in the military or want to be.

If they are used as speed brakes, why are they extended on base leg and final for landing? They use them here at DMAFB consistantly in the pattern.

So imagine if you will the look on my face when the same plane loaded with the same amount of our goodOle friend Jet A slammed into the other one and WOOOSSHHHBOOM BANG and then that very same old jet A did something completely out of the Norm for ANY TYPE OF KEROSEEN it burned unimpeeded nonstop at nearly a zillion degrees for how many months 3 until nothing but ash was left ? which was exactly what was needed to happen So a few could sleep at night and not have to worry about who was going to come up with what evidence, Now come on Guys all you need to do is use but a tiny bit of that gray Mass hanging out between your ears BUT first you must turn off that media freak show on 24-7 and read some truly inlighting material as I did to learn what I now know and it made me so angry i cried but after 7 months of doing my own little checking up and around I now KNOW factually that the men responsible are the very men that stand to make zillions of dollars off this war and after it hell look Halliburton put in it's bid for the contract to rebuild iraq before one brick fell shit wasn't that exactly how that magical evidence fell into the FBI hands before the last brick fell at the world trade center ???????? it's past time to think and then ACT

Carrier Landing Practice

The short story: My father has a large hunk of rope that apparently was used to stop fighters that were stationed in Niagara Falls NY. As the story goes: the Navy provided fighters that were carrier based – well they were fitted with arrestor hooks. I think the unit was the 107^th Fighter Interceptor Group (Air National Guard) flying F-16s. I could believe that some jig was used for practicing carrier landings. I can not believe that these planes needed to grab a wire to stop. I also question the use of rope and not wire… Perhaps someone out there will me understand the set up and usage? It's regarding that code.

This works splendidly ! It's only I always hear talking about a code. Is that code meant to activate that counter ? And the way, I did it, does it fix nothing because the counter is inactive ?

It's not that I want to be smarter. It's only I seem unable to add that code. The reason is simple : My website belongs to a host and many features are automated. This means, I ignore what type of HTML language they are using and even if it could work ! I'm also very bad at HTML and yesterday I started a real mess with that "code" ...
