I can say that the training that i had undergone was excellent, meeting the FAA standards.

The coolest thing which i had was the spin training where it was a bit scary at the 1st but its normal now, the adrenaline that i felt was unexplainable. The newest thing which i enrolled to is the Flight Instructors course. Any ways i am sharing this with you guys so that it would serve as an guiding aid in choosing the right school after all to get the best training in Philippines.
"Orbit" vs "Go around"

What's the difference ?!?!

Here is a post with some interesting questions by a pilot preparing for his private pilots license exam - anyone know the answers?
Tax deductions for student pilots?

Hi,

I'm trying to find out if I can deduct any of my flight training expenses. This year the AOPA Aviation Summit will be held in Tampa this November. Below is a short into with a link to more info.

Thanks and see you there!
-epubs

---------------------------------------

Aviation
Summit: A new look and feel for AOPA Expo

Wondering
what’s happened to AOPA Expo? To build on Expo’s ever-expanding popularity, AOPA
took a close look at its annual fall event and gave it a major overhaul to take
it to the next level. This year, we’re reaching for the summit—AOPA Aviation
Summit. In many ways, AOPA Aviation Summit will be similar to the Expo you’ve
been familiar with for more than a decade: an exhibit hall filled with hundreds
of pilot products, dozens of educational seminars, and a state-of-the art
aircraft display. But that’s just a fraction of AOPA Aviation Summit. Click to learn

What does it feel like to fly. (Don't spoil it), I need to know if my money will be well earned and spent. I would like a private and then IFR license. How often should I take lessons seeing as I can't solo till 16 or get my private until 17? How much time and money will I spend for the solo, private and IFR. Should I make this investment will it payoff if not in a pathway to a commercial license in the experience of it? Is it worth the time and money?

--Thanks
Bell Jetranger Tech Help...

In the 206, for every percent of torque available, how much weight can be added to the aircraft?

Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association or Women In Aviation ????

Hello everyone, I am a 26 years young Model / Entertainer that is currently pursuing her Private Pilots License and was wondering which organization would be MOST beneficial to join???

AOPA ( Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association)

or

WAI ( Women In Aviation ) ??????

Anyone have any experince with either or should I just join both.

Thank you!

Need your help—Petition for Indiana Seaplane Open Waters

To GA and especially seaplane supporters everywhere:

Short version:

Please sign our online petition for increased seaplane access to Indiana waters at: http://www.petitiononline.com/inseapln

Long version:

The Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association (ISPA) is seeking help in with a state-wide seaplane issue that is heating up.

Last week the INDNR announced two upcoming hearings (Feb. 3 and 4), about a proposed change in status for five lakes—currently classified as private-use landing areas—to public-use.

Indiana, as you may know, is backwards when it comes to seaplanes. Unlike WI, IL, MI, MN, etc., where the rule is (more like) "open unless prohibited", the law in Indiana is "closed unless an approved seaplane landing area (base) exists." There are only four public-use seaplane bases out of over 750 lakes in the state.

Since 1998, Randy Strebig, a Maule-driver and Seaplane Pilots Assn. field director from Ft. Wayne, has singlehandedly fought for more access. Through his efforts and those of his organization, ISPA, over time, INDNR and INDOT have granted a pilot program of private-use landing areas on 17 lakes. You have to get Randy's permission to land, but at least they're somewhat open. (Admittedly, requiring permission from a private individual to land on public waters is a screwy situation.)

Now the INDNR has proposed changing the status of five lakes from private-use to public-use. This is a (small) step in the right direction. There is some concern that they might simultaneously try to restrict or close access, but we're hoping for a big show of support to avoid this.

How to help:

All seaplane supporters, worldwide:

__ Write a letter of support to INDNR, with a copy to
INDOT and our organization (see sample letter on the website)

__ Sign our online petition at: http://www.petitiononline.com/inseapln

__ Send this message to other supporters

Supporters near NE Indiana (incl. , NW Ohio)

__ Attend and speak at one or both meetings scheduled by INDNR
for Feb. 3 and Feb 4.

__ Write a letter to the editor of your local paper

For more info, there is a briefing paper on the ISPA website at:

http://www.seaplanepilots.org/inspa

Thank you in advance for your support,

Steve Whitney
Webmaster, Indiana Seaplane Pilots Association
