Well I've decided that ultimately I would like to fly an F/A18 for the US Marines. (like semperfly) Do most marine pilots go through the naval academy or through ROTC?  I know in the air force, the best way to fly is through the academy since only a very select few out of a ROTC class get a pilot slot.  Should I be trying to get into an academy to become a marine pilot?

Hey, I like your style.

Most of us came through PLC or the Academy ( a handful from NROTC). You literally have a bunch of options open and all of them can get you into a fighter -- although PLC is the one that can get you an "air contract."
