I have noticed the info on the F16 gets really technical and in depth. References have been made quite frequently to Falcon 4.0 and subsequent patches. It should be common knowledge by now that the Falcon series of "games" has the U.S. Air Force ASAT program at its heart. This was declassified and embellished to make a product acceptable to the Department of Defense and the buying public. Microprose was purchased by Spectrum Holobyte to produce Falcon4.0. Spectrum Holobyte was a sub-division of Sphere, Inc. Sphere built the original ASAT program for Perceptronics. Perceptronics built the full cockpits for the Air Force. The people at Falcon4.0 were almost all military level programmers. That is why the quality was ahead of its time and the capability of the computers of 1999. Only the gigabyte cpus now available exploit the full capacity of this extroidenary program. The info in the manual for Falcon4.0 is basically accurate, except where it would cross secure or sensitive info. For those who will never fly the F16, it is the best source. For those who are young enough to get to fly the plane, there seems to be some people on this site who have the best info. Most of the world will do best to read-read-read. I hope this string of info about F4.0 is helpful if it has not been given to you before now. Flite Sims International
